Explicitly opened main content has viewing protection. Surrounding recommendations still follow your rules. Entering a generic feed or moving to another item does not grant that protection.

No. It uses the native YouTube Skip button when available. Unskippable ads, spoken sponsorships and server-stitched ads are not covered. Dedicated promotional labels are used for content filtering, not brand names or shopping words alone.

Successful content cleanup and YouTube ad auto-skips share one allowance across the three platforms in this Chrome profile. It resets each local calendar day. Failed actions do not count. Once exhausted, new cleanup stops; native browsing and manual ad skipping remain available.

Platform settings, layout, keywords, author lists, rule states and order. Sync is off by default and requires consent, the same Chrome sync account and extension ID. The budget is 80 KiB. Permissions, pause, daily usage and payment credentials stay local. Conflicts require your choice.
